    gourmet dinner
    excellent service
    location challenge
    lack of bike rentals
    logistical inconvenience

Staying in the Japanese-Style Deluxe Room with an open-air bath was a highlight, offering unique views and absolute comfort. The kaiseki dinner served in-room was an exquisite experience with gourmet products, showcasing both familiar and new flavors. On the downside, the location involves a bit of a trek to reach main attractions, and the absence of bike rentals limits exploring the charming surroundings. Service was excellent, yet the overall experience felt somewhat hindered by these logistical challenges.

    serene garden view
    dinner quality

My room was beautifully clean and offered an incredible view of cherry blossom trees. The complimentary hot water and sencha every morning were a thoughtful touch, making my mornings feel special. The serene garden view from the room helped me feel closely connected to nature, enhancing my peaceful stay.

I was disappointed with the dinner, which did not meet my expectations.

    gorgeous room
    stunning views
    beautiful massage
    water cooler absence

I loved my stay, especially the gorgeous room with tatami mats and the stunning views of the garden. There are great relaxation spots like the public bath and the beautiful massage service to help unwind. Just a heads-up, it would have been nice to have a water cooler in the onsen area.

    great traditional vibes

The newly renovated room had an amazing view, and the tatami mats felt super authentic! the friendly staff were always there to help, which was awesome. the shuttle service was a lifesaver for getting around, but the check-out time came way too early for my liking.

    spacious room
    great hospitality
    difficult access

My renovated room was spacious with a delightful tatami area. The hospitality was fantastic, especially the friendly staff who really went the extra mile for us. Plus, I loved the serene garden view!

However, getting there felt like training for an Olympic event! A taxi or bus is necessary—might as well pack your hiking boots!

    hospitality experience

Family with children, kind of a mixed bag

Had a warm reception from the staff who were really hospitable and accommodating. The kaiseki dinners were beautifully served and a nice surprise for my taste buds, just like they say, you really can't go wrong with Japanese cuisine.

It wasn't cheap, but the experience felt decent overall.
